Temporary Internet files, which get stored in the temporary Internet files folder every time you browse through the Internet, are the major one that affects the performance of the PC. Do you know that the screen savers, cursors, image files and such other things that are visible while browsing gets automatically stored in the temporary internet files folder without our knowledge? Frequent usage of the Internet for browsing will increase the size of the temporary Internet files folder and will eventually affect the performance of the system at a later date.

Clearing the junk files from the personal computer will also help in freeing the disk space and improving the performance of the system. This can be done by deleting the files from “C:\temp” directory, where most of the junk files get stored.
